“don’t text while drawing” by Mattias Adolfsson
These are sounds of my little Niece Addie! Thanks to my sister Kate for visiting today.
I was listening to Innocence Mission’s ‘Christ is My Hope’ when I drew this.
From Wikipedia: The 2000 release Christ Is My Hope, featuring folk songs and hymns that had inspired them over the years, was independently distributed by their own label, LAMP, with all proceeds from sales of the record being donated to hunger relief charities.
I did this drawing today for Karen DeMaio ‘cause I feel for her everyday.
This drawing I did says “Uji uji” in Japanese, an onomatopoeic word describing contradicting emotions.
Karen DeMaio and I went to Oak Knoll Book Festival yesterday near Old New Castle. The venue was right near the Delaware Bay so we walked there and played on the shore for a while. I made sculptures out of driftwood while Karen gathered pieces of it to use in decorating her house in Newark. Tons of fun.
I received a wonderful b-day package (a couple months late) from Juliet Womack containing 3 Friends With You pals, including Albino TTT, Super Malfi, and Malfi! It made my day to say the least and I had fun cuddling with TTT, they strike a special, happy chord in my heart! Thanks J, it was well worth the wait.
I transformed my good ole bedroom into my new studio space. I got rid of the bunk bed, bought a desk, and painted grey over the sponge-painted wall. I’m gonna keep the blue sky and clouds. Thanks Karen for helping out, Ryan, and my mom for paying half the desk.
